Copper River Seafoods employs ten full-time, year-round employees in our two offices located in Cordova and Anchorage, Alaska. In addition to these year-round employees, we also offer positions for approximately 150 seasonal employees at our Cordova, Alaska processing plant, and another 25+ in our Anchorage facility.

CORDOVA

Seasonal positions typically begin in mid-May with the opening of the Copper River King Salmon run.  Our season usually ends in late September with the closing of the Copper River Coho Salmon run.  (A total of 4 & 1/2 months)

We do have a bunkhouse and meals available on site for a nominal fee. Employees are asked to provide their own raingear and rubber boots (DEC requirement). These can be purchased in Cordova, but would probably be found more economically elsewhere.  Please come prepared!

ANCHORAGE

Seasonal positions in Anchorage open about March 1, 2009 and are available until October 1, 2009.  (A total of 7 months).  No housing is provided at the Anchorage facility so employees must make their own arrangements.  ________________________________________________________________________

Starting wage at CDV facility is $7.15 per hour with time and a half for any hours over eight hours per day or 40 hours per week. We have a bonus plan, paid at the end of the season for all employees who work the full season and are in good standing. The hours can be long, sometimes seven days per week with varying hours, and the work is demanding, but there is ample opportunity to earn a respectable amount of money if you work hard and stay the entire season.  Make sure you arrive with enough money to cover personal expenses until you receive your first paycheck. Two pieces of ID are required and each employee MUST provide a copy of their social security card.
